We ask you to cal NHS on 111 for advice and stay at home for 7 days if you have either:

  • a high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back

  • a new, continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly

You should remain in your home. Do not go to work, or public areas, and do not use public transport or taxis. You cannot go for a walk.

You will need to ask friends or relatives if you require help with buying groceries, other shopping or picking up medication. Alternatively, you can order medication by phone or online. You can also order your shopping online. Make sure you tell delivery drivers to leave items outside for collection if you order online. The delivery driver should not come into your home”

The payment, which works out at £94.25 per week, will be available from day one of quarantine.

You will need to obtain a sick note through calling NHS 111 and provide it to us by email or post to claim the Statutory sick pay.

How to avoid catching or spreading coronavirus

Do

wash your hands with soap and water often – do this for at least 20 seconds
always wash your hands when you get home or into work
use hand sanitiser gel if soap and water are not available
cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
put used tissues in the bin immediately and wash your hands afterwards
try to avoid close contact with people who are unwell

Don't
do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean
